Small pothole of sorts in our road.

Yep. that's a hospital logo. I am hanging out in a nice private room for a few days taking IV antibiotics to deal with a little bout of pneumonia. The CF I have makes this a not terribly uncommon situation. I pushed myself working on Taj the last few days before we headed out here to Minnesota, then the destination driving right after it was just a little too much. No more of either from now on(pushing or destination driving that is)! From now on, we are going for a bit more of a relaxed travel pace.

At any rate, I just wanted to give a little update so you all knew where I was. This might be a good time to get some of the blogs I have been putting off done though! Hope you are all enjoying life these days, it is a very precious thing!

  3. Hope you feel better real soon. At least its summer and perhaps some long days in the sunshine will help you recover.

Might be a good time to try some easy Sudoku :-)

  5. Sorry to hear this my friend....you be careful and take it easy from ow on...oh yeah, maybe if switched to de-caf you would slow down and visit the people you just fly past....;^D

When we get together I will share my O2 with you...I'll get a 'y' fitting for my tube..;^)
A friend mentioned that it might be nice to 'flavor' the O2....lavender, vanilla, Kahlua?????
Sound good any ideas of how?
    You are in my prayers...

  6. So sorry to hear about the pneumonia but so glad to hear that you are on the road to recovery. Enjoy your time of rest...even though its not the way you would choose to rest.

    Get better soon.

  7. Sorry to hear of your bout with pneumonia, but glad to hear you are on the road to good recovery. One of the hardest things to learn is to slow down and go easy in this lifestyle. Hopefully it will be a quickly learned adjustment for all of us. Take care and be safe.

  8. Mike - get better soon so you can get back on the road! I hope you have a speedy recovery, we need you out there following your dreams and doing your thing.

When you're all better make sure you slow down the pace a bit so you don't end up back in the hospital. Chill out and take it easy!

  12. Thanks to all of you for the sweet comments! I am feeling a lot better already and should be out of here tomorrow if all goes well. They will switch to oral antibiotics and I should be doing much better as any improvement in the food is bound to help! So far this place has been great in every other aspect though.

    Thanks again to everyone!

  14. I'm a day late and a dollar short!! I just got back to reading blogs. Sorry to hear you were in the hospital. Glad you're getting out tomorrow. I know it's hard to take it easy sometimes, but Heidi is going to enjoy you more in the van than in a hospital. Take care!!

  17. I hate to say it, but when I like being in a hospital...as long as I am not at deaths door. Clean sheets, food i dont have to cook, AC, a TV if i can stand it and plenty of time to sleep if I am not being stuck with something. And jello, lots and lots of jello Oh, and then there are the meds that i can not buy on the street and would break my sobriety anyway.
Now mind you, this only relates to thinggs that do not bring me to deaths door. I do hate: Surgery and waking up from it.

  20. KyG, I can understand those thoughts too though I get pretty tired of the Hospital as soon as I am there. I avoid them at all costs too due to not wanting the exposure to other germs etc.

Terria, Thanks, I will do my best to take that advice!

Cap, Thanks mom LOL! Yeah I know your are watching out for me, and I appreciate it as always. I will be good :)
