A Happy Update

I thought it would be good to let everyone know what we are up to this last week so here is a bit of an update.

First, Heidi is now going to be contributing to the blog with her fun writing as well. She is no longer going to keep her old blog, "mimionthemove" updated so we will be moving her recipes and other interesting/useful posts here.

Taj's new leather captains chairs arrived last Monday so I have removed all the old carpet and seats/bases and am now in the middle of making new oak trim so I can finish the cork flooring. I am also recovering the old seat bases to match the new seats. I will be done with those projects soon and write blogs on each.

I also still have a few more fun projects to do right away that you will see blogs on very soon. Hope everyone is doing well and enjoys the smiles!

  1. With living full time in your "B", where are you able to do all the mods (work) on your B? Also, where do you keep or have access to all the materials and tools you need to do your work?

  2. Hi Tin Tent, We have been parked here at my Dad's place in Washington using his tools and my tools and storing the material in his shop. We are leaving here as soon as the front seats are back in. It has been nice though, When we had to have the bed apart, we stayed in the house. We are able to keep plugged in so we have been using an electric heater as needed to save LP. There is a dump station at the 76 station in town and we can fill our fresh tank from a faucet right by Taj. It has worked out really nice to get these mods done.

  4. Thanks Charlene! Comparing us to Cheaprvliving is a huge compliment though our goal will never be to upstage Bob. He is a great friend and has a wonderful site! Our goal is to share our lives/passion and hopefully our site will complement his well as a resource. We are all in this together :)

  7. It would be nice if you would list the tools that you travel with... I fuss quite a bit about what to take and what to leave when I take trips away.
Of course, the Roadtrek's Wright screwdrivers with their square heads...a hammer, a rubber mallet... I also carry a belt for the engine to save time in a break.
what have you needed on the road and away from services?

  8. Hey Anonymous :) Thanks for the comment! I will do you one better! I will write a blog on it here after I catch up with my current projects. I have re-adjusted my tools several times and have a pretty good handle on the things I need to keep with me nowdays so I don't mind sharing that info at all.
